200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training
with Lead Instructor, Katie Shanley
Buddhi Tribe’s 200-hour teacher training will be a way for participants to deepen their practice - by learning more about themselves. Yoga is truly a practice of (re)learning to love ourselves and in doing so, be our truest selves. Learning how to do an arm balance is simply a fun bonus, but not the goal.
My yoga background spans over a decade, with a style I’d describe as a strengthening & mindful Vinyasa practice. My 200-hour training was in hot, power yoga and my 300-hour in Hatha & Ashtanga. I’ve also received certifications in Yin, Buti, and Barre. My teaching is highly intuitive and I have been known to incorporate any and all of these styles in a single class. My hope with the Buddhi Tribe teacher training is to help you call upon your intuition, creativity, and confidence - whether you end up teaching yoga or not…you will find your voice. I believe yoga teachers are more than just teachers, we are beings of empowerment. Through the practice of yoga, I have learned to live in my wisdom and to limit my suffering while using the inevitable hardships of life as tools to deepen this wisdom. We are in control.

Buddhi Tribe is committed to BLM and the decolonization of yoga.
"Buddhi Tribe Teacher Training was the most well organized and extraordinary program. Everything we talked about, we did with care and depth. It gave me all the tools that I need to feel comfortable teaching, but also to make me want to learn even more. I wouldn't trade the 200 hours that I had with Buddhi Tribe for anything or any other program. Katie put such care and love into each of her students and it definitely paid off. My view on yoga has completely altered in the best way possible. I would recommend this yoga school to anyone that will listen."

In times of uncertainty and challenge, it can be difficult to remember how important it is to take care of ourselves – our whole selves. But it’s never been more important than it is right now to make sure that all of you stays well, stays nourished, stays hopeful, stays connected, and stays kind. These practices strengthen those skills, and we all need them – for our own well-being, the well-being of our loved ones, the well-being of our communities, and for our world. As a long-term teacher and practitioner, Sagel is so grateful for all the ways the Yin Yoga & Meditation nurtures us from the inside out and helps us to be deeply present for this one precious life – and grateful for this chance to be able to connect with you in this new way, even as we can’t gather together as we might normally would.
In this program, we’ll cover the science related to how Yin works physiologically, Taoist Organ & Meridian Theory & Qi energetics, and Applied Mindfulness Meditation exercises for peace and authentic happiness rooted in Buddhist philosophy. And we’ll explore a comprehensive breakdown of each of the Yin poses – including safety, cues, modifications, substitutions, areas of exercise, and how props can help you get the most out of your practice. We spend time talking about sequencing your practice and classes as well as crafting class themes and areas of focus.
Sagel is running this streaming training for small groups only to ensure personalized attention and lots of interaction, with Q&A, group activities, and personal reflections in addition to times of lecture. This Online Yin Yoga Teacher Training will be offered in an interactive, live-streaming format via Zoom. Because the sessions will run live and not be recorded, participants must attend all programming hours to receive the completion certificate.REGISTER
